A nice visit

The weekend of April 4th, my brother Jamie, his wife Krystale, and their two kids J and M, came to Charlotte to visit. It had been a very long time since we'd seen them. We hadn't even met their youngest son and my brother had never met Bryce because he was deployed in the military the last time Krystale and their oldest son came to visit. So we very excited when they said they were coming and looked forward to their visit.
They got here on Friday evening and we went over to see them. Bryce and J are only a couple months apart so we were curious to see how well they would play together. Well...it wasn't so good. Of course they always wanted the toys that the other had which caused problems. But what can you expect when you get 2 two year olds together, both of which are very stubborn. It was actually kinda funny to watch some of the time to see if they would be able to figure out the situation on their own. But most of the time, we had to intervene before there was a brawl in the living room. :)
On Sunday we planned to all go to the zoo in Columbia SC. It was a little yucky at the beginning of the day, but it ended up being very nice out later. The boys loved the animals! But there were some like the tigers and lions that were just lying down at the furthest part of the exhibit that I don't think the boys really got to see. As long as the animals moved or were close by, they could see how cool the animals were. But all in all, it was a very fun day that we all enjoyed! And all of the walking we did on that day...caused me to go into labor the next morning!! So it was extra nice for me. Having an 8 pound baby two weeks early is a heck of a lot better than a 10 pound baby on his due date!! :)
Anyway, we really enjoyed the visit with everyone! And we can't wait to do it again! Hopefully next time the boys will get along better. :)
