Jamaica 5

We stayed around the resort again this day. But then we went off the resort to Rick's Cafe, a big attraction in Negril.

These rooms were the most expensive on the resort. Outside their patio door was their own little wading area with lounge chairs and direct swim access to the pool. They also had butler service. Very pretty and very pricey. But we had to take a pic in front of them!

We went to Rick's Cafe that evening. It is a pretty cool place. They have a pool, bars, restaurant, a band (but they weren't there when we went) and the main attraction was cliff jumping.




Dave was all about jumping off the cliff. He went straight for the highest one that was about 45 feet up from the water (I couldn't zoom in b/c then I wouldn't get him and the water in the same pic. He is near the top of the pic in the red shorts)...

Mike decided he would do it to. But he didn't jump very gracefully so he landed right on his butt. Everyone heard it and went "oooooohhhh". Poor guy! He has huge bruises on the back of both his thighs...

Ok, so they have professional divers there all the time that go around with buckets collecting money or tips for jumping. We gave some money to him b/c we heard what they do is amazing. We waited for awhile and finally the guy starts climbing this dead tree. He goes all the way to the top to dive off into the water. We heard them say it was 65 feet above the water! This guy is nuts!!

Off he goes!! And he was just fine of course. Sorry that I couldn't get him and water all in the same pic for you guys to see just how high he was, but take my word, it was VERY high...

The sun almost set. We didn't stay the whole time b/c our taxi driver was outside waiting on us...

When we got back to the resort, they had set up a beach party/dinner. It was a huge buffet out on the sand with tables and chairs set up for everyone. It was nice to have dinner out by the ocean.


Crazy Coconut cutter man (Shannon was afraid of him...I can't say I blame her with that big knife!)...

He cut the coconuts open and then added rum to the coconut milk inside. David liked it, but it wasn't cold enough...

After dinner they had some entertainment for us. We didn't stay the whole time b/c we all needed showers, but we did come back down in time to see the man that juggles fire. What you see below is the fire that he breathed out of his mouth!!...
