Last year, our annual group trip was to Puerto Vallarta Mexico. We had been to Cancun a couple of times so we decided to do something different. And it was different. Unlike Cancun, Puerto doesn't have to crystal clear water, it is still blue, but a dark blue. Puerto had mountains everywhere which made the resort unique. The hotel was nice, but not as nice as Cancun Palace. It was good to try something new. We had a lot of fun! Of course the people that you take your vacations with help to make it fun. One thing that we really liked about Puerto was that they had an outdoor challenge adventure tour. David and I had to take this old raggity truck with just benches in the back up these dirt roads through the mountains. Then they dropped us off at this ranch were we had to get on donkeys to ride the rest of the way up the mountain. We went all the way to the top and they hooked us up to at least 7 zip lines (the highest being over 300 feet off the ground), and 2 repelling lines. And that is how we got back to the bottom of the mountain. It was so amazing to see the forests of Mexico below you as you were flying threw the air. One of the zip lines dropped you down into a pool of water. Then you connected to a repel line and repelled down the waterfall! Beautiful! David and I agreed that it was the coolest thing we'd ever done. If you ever get the opportunity to do it...don't pass it up!
Having dinner with some of the group the first night we were there... I was attempting to rock climb...
