As we have done in years past, we go to church with David's family and then head over to the Pinti house for dinner and presents.
At church, the boys were so funny! They saw the Manger scene at the front of the church, but noticed that Jesus wasn't there yet. Then they thought they saw someone put Jesus up there so Grandma brought them up...He wasn't there yet. They came back a bit disappointed and all they talked about threw mass was "Where's baby Jesus?".
We ate dinner first when we got back to the house. It was very yummy, a little mishap with the turkey, but it didn't matter. There was so much other food that we all got very full.
Then the presents. The boys (Bryce and N) really got into it. It was so much fun watching them open with such curiosity as to what was inside. David's family has a tradition that they go around the room starting with the youngest and then that person opens one present while everyone else watches. The boys did pretty well with waiting for their turn to come back around, but they did get a bit impatient towards the end. Bryce and Heath got some very nice things, they are lucky kids!
Waiting for his turn :) ...
Could they look anymore miserable that we are making them take a picture?...
So happy with just a bow...
Heath and cousin C...
Before we all ate dessert, we lit the candles on the cake Bryce and I made and sung Happy Birthday to Jesus. The boys got a kick out of that and were very happy to blow out the candles.
When we got home we got PJs on and then Bryce put the cookies and milk out for Santa Claus and Rudolf. And then off to bed they went.
